Nowadays, homes are increasingly facing space constraints, and parents often struggle with organising a room for their child or teenager so that everything necessary fits in whilst avoiding clutter.
We'd like to show you a very simple way to arrange a small bedroom designed for a young girl.

When children reach a certain age, it seems that everything needs to change. They no longer feel like children, but they're not yet adults either, and it's clear that at this stage the room requires some refreshing.
For teenagers, their own bedroom is a very personal and important space. It's a room where they can dream, study and unwind. At this age, the bedroom becomes "their own space" and should be a place where they feel most comfortable. If you're planning to decorate "her" room, you should listen to her needs.
A study area is very important, so the desk placement should be carefully considered. You don't necessarily always have to position it with the window behind you: in such a position, there's insufficient lighting for studying or writing, not to mention the glare on the computer screen.
If possible, it's best to position the desk right by the window. This way, your daughter can study in natural light, which is less tiring for the eyes, whilst the view from the window can be truly inspiring.
For example, you could place the desk wall-to-wall by the window along the room's shortest side. With the help of a modern chest of drawers or storage containers, you can easily keep the room tidy, with books, notebooks and various supplies always organised.

Aside from functionality, creating a room full of magic is also very important for a young girl. To this end, you shouldn't overlook the bed: a duvet with lots of soft cushions is a very important step not only from the perspective of femininity, but also the comfort and aesthetic that teenagers expect.
Good lighting at the desk will encourage your daughter to read in the evenings as well. You could choose, for example, a decorative pendant or floor lamp.
What colours should you choose for a small teenager's bedroom? We recommend opting for light and neutral colours, even pastels, which evoke freshness and lightness whilst also making the space appear larger.

There are many ways to introduce a touch of femininity to the room. Pink typically springs to mind, but for many years now this shade has been replaced by purple in various hues.
Purple is one of those colours that radiates femininity, but at the same time it's ideal for combining with other shades, such as blue or green. Undoubtedly, with the help of these colours we can create a feminine and harmonious space. What's more, purple was chosen as colour of the year, so it's very much on trend at the moment.
