Exclusive Carpets: Relief Pile, Sheen and Large Formats

Our exclusive carpets bring together 144 designer rugs from collections such as EMERALD, DE LUXE, NOBLE, PEARL, VALENCIA and YAZZ. What sets them apart is the pile: many models combine two pile heights to create a relief pattern, and several collections use polyester yarns with a gentle sheen. Nearly all exclusive carpets are made of synthetic yarns; for the HERIZ collection the supplier states bamboo yarn. They come from an external supplier and are shipped from Europe; the technical data on this page is taken from the supplier's product information.

Yarns used in the exclusive carpets

• Polypropylene with heat-shrink polyester (53 models) – the EMERALD collection, with a pile of about 12 mm.
• 100% polyester (41 models) – mainly DE LUXE, plus LUCE, VINCI and BLISS.
• Polyester with shrink polyester (17 models) – the NOBLE collection, which the supplier describes as a mix of shrink polyester and soft polyester.
• Other yarns – synthetic yarns in PEARL, VALENCIA, YAZZ and DROP JASMINE; for HERIZ the supplier states bamboo yarn.

What the supplier says about the yarns: the combination of polypropylene and shrink polyester in EMERALD is hard-wearing, resistant to abrasion and pleasant to the touch; the 100% polyester of DE LUXE resists mechanical damage and crushing; NOBLE pairs shrink polyester with soft polyester for a soft feel; and the PEARL fibre blend is described as not flattening under everyday use. In total the category holds 131 rectangular and 13 round rugs.

Collections at a glance

• EMERALD (53 models) – glamour designs with a touch of gold (silver in five models), pile about 12 mm, rectangular and round.
• DE LUXE (33) – classic ornaments in a modern, vintage-style finish, with two pile levels of about 7 and 12 mm.
• NOBLE (17) – frames and soft colour combinations such as cream and blue, two pile levels of about 12 and 15 mm.
• PEARL (9) – geometric and Greek-key patterns in greys, beiges, white and black; pile about 6 and 8 mm and a stated density of 448,000 points per m².
• VALENCIA (8) and YAZZ (9) – densely woven rugs with a total thickness of about 13 mm and 10 mm; the supplier describes the YAZZ pile as springy.
• LUCE (4), VINCI (3), HERIZ (3), BLISS (2) and DROP JASMINE (3) – vintage frames and rosettes, oriental and Greek-key motifs; DROP JASMINE has a pile of about 11 mm.

Two pile levels give the patterns depth: frames, ornaments, rosettes and geometric motifs stand out from the background.

Colour, sheen and light

For EMERALD and DE LUXE the supplier notes that the polyester fibres have a sheen and that the shade may change slightly with the angle of the light – a property of polyester. Across the category, beige (37 models), grey and silver (31), green (27) and blue (20) are the most common colour groups, followed by black, gold, brown and red tones.

Sizes and round formats

• Smaller rugs: 77×150, 80×150, 115×170, 120×170 and 120×180 cm.
• Living-room sizes: 133×190, 134×190, 140×190, 154×220, 160×220, 154×230, 160×235 and 170×240 cm.
• Large rugs: 173×270, 180×270, 192×290, 200×290, 200×300, 230×330, 240×330, 240×340, 240×350 and 280×370 cm.
• Round rugs: 13 EMERALD models with diameters of 120, 160 and 200 cm.

The most widely offered sizes are 160×220, 120×170, 200×290 and 140×190 cm, and 58 models are also available in 240×330 cm. NOBLE comes in seven sizes from 80×150 to 240×330 cm, DE LUXE goes up to 240×340 cm and VALENCIA up to 240×350 cm. The round rugs and the largest size in the category, 280×370 cm, belong to the EMERALD collection. For LUCE and VINCI the supplier notes a production tolerance of ±5% on the dimensions.

Care, underfloor heating and certificates

The supplier's care advice is regular vacuuming (EMERALD, DE LUXE); for DROP JASMINE a vacuum cleaner and a slightly damp cloth are enough. According to the supplier, EMERALD, DE LUXE, VALENCIA, LUCE, VINCI and BLISS hold OEKO-TEX certification, and these collections as well as PEARL and HERIZ can be used with underfloor heating.
