The world is rushing faster and faster and we are living faster and faster. We work fast, we rest fast, we fall in love fast and we fall out of love even faster - we have become a multitasking society that has to do many things at once - we drive or take the bus - then we eat in between, we talk to friends but at the same time we check our company emails. Instead of eating in peace, we're taking phone calls or reading messages on a tablet. We want to swallow life so quickly
We do everything in a rush therefore our relationships must suffer - relationships with family, with friends or neighbours - our, productivity, finances but above all our health suffers from the speed of life - physical but probably more so mental - because our wellbeing deteriorates in this frenetic world.
The solution to this is to 'slow down' life, which has been promoted since the 1990s through a social movement called 'slow life'. We really like this idea, which is why we have been involved in it for years and through our poufs we try to make it easier for you to slow down.
This is not about walking or doing tasks at a snail's pace, but about finding time to calm down and relax. The pouffes that we have been designing for you for years are the perfect place to stop for a while, take a break and gain energy for the next task.
Remember that slow living restores balance - if we have time to go for a walk, ride our bike, go to the pool or even if we "have time" to just stay at home with a favourite book - such mental comfort has a fantastic effect on our well-being. Acquiring knowledge and new skills, pursuing our dreams or delving into our hobbies will be more meaningful than mindlessly climbing the career ladder.
Slow life is the essence of the traditional Italian lifestyle based on joyfully consuming each day - freedom, sunshine, food, family - such values are paramount. That is why we are happy that our poufs, which are used for relaxation and leisure and which we sell in almost all of Europe, contribute to the well-being of thousands of people.
